The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing nursing assistant services for on-site clinic units or for performing medical record reviews.
Under direct supervisor supervision the CNA performs assigned direct care activities and basic nursing procedures in a nursing facility.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides nursing assistant services within the CNA scope of practice to preserve the health and wellness of examinees and/or patients.
- Opportunity to travel and assist on medical mobile events.
- Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols, and the Privacy Act.
- Thoroughly exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making daily.
- Makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload.
- Demonstrates proven success in working within stressful environments.
- Complies with all applicable Acuity standards and guidelines.
- Responsible for medical record review and case management for medical exam and screening programs.
- The CNA works directly with medical providers and examinees to ensure all medical information is gathered.
- Performs medical Quality Assurance on all charts.
- Communicates with Clients as well as the on-site medical providers.
- Able to work with the various software programs specific to the functioning of the exam program.
- Works closely with other departments to provide accurate and quality outcomes.
- Consistently learns and applies codified state and federal regulations specific to particular contract(s).
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate with proof of completion of a basic Nursing assistant course consistent with the Georgia’s certification requirements or completion of a state examination including clinical requirements.
- A minimum of 1 yr. of nursing care is required.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Proficiency in the use of basic Microsoft programs.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of clinical CNA experience.
- Proficiency in the use of Data Management Systems.
- Experience in administering vaccines
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and have the strength to push and pull and stand for long periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting.
